'DATA' is an experimental piece composed with the intention of spreading awareness around data protection. The piece calls for a disassembled hard drive with painted material on it, a computer, and a player, plugging it in and out repeatedly.

This is a hard drive I found on the ground
It has 160GB of storage
It was used by someone who loved photography
It had countless photos on it
It begs the question...
Why was it abandoned?
Of course, the PCB was snapped...
So I replaced it...
And then it worked.
Although I could browse it now, it was struggling
And then it died.
I disassembled it and used it as my canvas
And as its own playing instrument
Clicking away with no purpose
Trying to find photos that once laid upon its path
But to no avail
This piece has many meanings
But its main meaning was awareness
Data is priceless
You wouldn't want a stranger stealing it
Would you?
